Description(s): | Cette histoire narrée par Emele Mamuli est présentée en tanema – accompagnée d'une traduction en teanu [“tkw”], la langue désormais dominante du Vanikoro. Le mythe raconte l'histoire d'une héronne qui épousa un homme. Alors qu'ils vivaient ensemble pendant un certain temps, il se mit à la traiter mal – si bien qu'elle finit par se jeter dans le feu, et partir en fumée.
