Mrs Brenda Pe Maung Tin announces (in Burmese) the title of a novel published in Myawadi magazine, "A hsôn i a sa" ("The beginning of the end"), and the title of a book by Bo Taya called "Yè baw thôn cheik" (The thirty comrades). She then reads extracts from these two books. The narrator relates how the Comrades had to wait for their train leaving at 6 a.m. from Taungu station; and explains how life was at the military training camp, how soldiers had to change garrisons; he then describes the cargo loading on trains, the separation of soldiers on the train, the difficult travelling conditions, and the conversation with an old man on the train (cut at 19.50mn).
