| Résumé(s): | Male in his forties who was born and grew up in Winchester. He speaks of his youth in Winchester and the surroundings he describes as being idyllic. He speaks of his schooling and growing up and the different lessons that he liked. He also notes that his grandfather was French, and this certainly had an influence on the attraction he always felt to France, and to the culture, and language. He studied French at university and gained a B.A. at the University of Portsmouth. He also went on, at a later stage to study at the University of Pau, where he enrolled and successfully completed a degree in English Literature and Civilisation. He also worked as a language assistant at the Science Faculty, there. He later also obtained a Master’s degree in the UK. He has three children, and he talks of language learning and what languages he speaks with them. He details how he felt when he first arrived in Pau, and what emotions he experiences when he returns to the UK. He considers Pau to be his home, but he says that the United Kingdom is where he feels some attachment to, also, since he comes from there. Homme d'une quarantaine d'années né et ayant grandi à Winchester. Il parle de sa jeunesse à Winchester et de son environnement qu'il décrit comme idyllique. Il parle de sa scolarité, de son enfance et des différentes leçons qu'il aimait. Il note également que son grand-père était français, ce qui a certainement eu une influence sur l'attirance qu'il a toujours eue pour la France, sa culture et sa langue. Il a étudié le français à l'université et a obtenu une licence à l'université de Portsmouth. Il a également poursuivi ses études à l'université de Pau, où il s'est inscrit et a obtenu un diplôme en littérature et civilisation anglaises. Il a également travaillé comme assistant de langue à la faculté des sciences de cette université. Il a par la suite aussi obtenu un Master au Royaume-Uni. Il a trois enfants et parle de l'apprentissage des langues et des langues qu'il parle avec eux. Il décrit ce qu'il a ressenti à son arrivée à Pau et les émotions qu'il éprouve lorsqu'il retourne au Royaume-Uni. Il considère Pau comme étant chez lui, mais il dit que le Royaume-Uni est pour lui aussi un lieu d'attachement, puisqu'il en est originaire. |
